How to Choose a CNC Machining Supplier in China如何选择中国 CNC 加工供应商

Choosing the right CNC machining partner determines whether your project ships on time, on tolerance and on budget. Here is a practical checklist for vetting suppliers — especially when sourcing from China.
A reliable supplier operates an in-house workshop — not a trading company outsourcing every job.可靠的供应商拥有自己的车间,而非每单都外包的贸易公司。
Certifications
Look for IATF16949 (automotive), ISO 9001 (quality management) and ISO 13485 (medical). Certifications signal that processes are documented and audited, not improvised.
In-House Capability
A supplier that does turning, milling, 5-axis, sheet metal, stamping and finishing in-house avoids outsourcing delays and quality gaps. Ask about machine count and types.
Look for ISO 9001 quality systems plus first-article inspection (FAI) on every production run.要看供应商是否具备 ISO 9001 质量体系和每批次首件检测(FAI)。
Quality Control
Ask about inspection equipment — CMM, gauges and vision systems — and whether they provide full inspection reports and traceability with every shipment.
Communication
Clear, responsive communication matters as much as machines. A good supplier answers DFM questions quickly, explains options and gives honest lead times.
In-house capability covers milling, turning, 5-axis, sheet metal and finishing — no subcontracting.自制能力覆盖铣削、车削、五轴、钣金与表面处理,不分包。
Delivery & Samples
Order a sample or small batch first to verify quality and communication before committing to volume. Evaluate packaging and on-time delivery.
